About Koleksi Jakarta
With a history spanning nearly five centuries, Jakarta's heritage is rich, diverse, and continually evolving. Across museums, archives, and collections, countless objects tell stories of the people, communities, and cultures that have shaped the city over time. Koleksi Jakarta brings these stories together in a shared digital space, providing access to collections, photographs, archives, and other cultural materials that reflect Jakarta's past and present.
Developed in collaboration with museums managed by the Government of DKI Jakarta, Koleksi Jakarta is part of the Koleksi Kita initiative under the Indonesian Museums Documentation Project. Through research, digitisation, and cataloguing, the platform supports the documentation, preservation, and accessibility of cultural heritage while making collections easier to discover, understand, and share.
Koleksi Kita is supported by the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) through the U.S. Embassy Jakarta. Together with museum and cultural heritage partners, the initiative works to ensure that Jakarta's collections and stories remain accessible to audiences in Indonesia and around the world, both today and for future generations.

Working with museums, researchers, and communities, we conduct research, workshops, and collection assessments to better understand and document Jakarta's cultural heritage.
Digitization
From studio photography to image processing, we create high-quality digital records that support long-term preservation and public access.
Cataloguing
Using museum standards and controlled vocabularies, we improve collection records so that objects can be searched, connected, and interpreted more effectively.
Participating Museums
Koleksi Kita represents collections from museums managed by the Government of DKI Jakarta. Each object displayed on this platform remains under the care and authority of its respective museum.
The platform serves as a shared digital layer, connecting institutions while respecting their individual identities and collections.
